A Crossover CAT 5 Cable

The cat 5 cables I have were designed to be a crossover cable. This means that they could connect two computers together directly without the need of a router or hub. They can do this because pins 1, 2, 3, and 6 are swapped to pins 6, 3, 2, 1 respectively from one side to the other. This allows data to flow in two directions with minimal interference. By being able to connect the computers together, I could transfer data more quickly.
