The fire safe we bought was designed to hold jewelry as well as papers. My mother wanted to be sure that her jewelry would be safe in the event of a fire. I personally think that she was worrying a bit too much, but it is still a wise precaution. We have never really had need of a fire safe, but with the new stove we bought, we may need it.

We had a seamless rain gutter installed in our new house. Our old house had some problems with leakage in the rain gutter, so we had bought seamless rain gutters for our new house. The people we hired to install it came in a large vehicle with the devices used to make the rain gutter. A seamless rain gutter does not have any seams in it, so the entire system must be made on site. It was more expensive than normal, but it was worth it.

Home
Our basement contains a type of shelving that is usually not found anywhere else. This shelving is suspended from the ceiling by chains. We put laundry items and flashlights on the shelf because the basement is both dark and home to the laundry machines. The shelf itself is quite long, but it is out of the way of people walking, though we have had a few guests bump their heads on the suspended shelf. The laundry detergents and other laundry chemicals are stored on this shelf safely.

Many of us here in America have the fortune of never having our lives disrupted by something as sinister as a home invasion. And because of that, some of us tend to have a sense of invincibility, that nothing will ever happen to us. All it takes is one time, and forever your life is changed. Never for a moment should you believe that a home alarm system isn’t a necessity for you. Protect your investment, but most importantly protect those that mean the most to you and that you hold dear to you; your family.
